How we think is part of what we deliver.
These principles govern every topic, source, claim, client conversation, and final asset. They are not aspirations. They are operating constraints.
Three principles. Every engagement.
Curiosity
Stay open long enough to understand before deciding what a story means.
Ask what is happening, why, how it works, whom it affects, what changed, and what could explain it differently. Curiosity isn’t a temperament we hire for; it’s a discipline we enforce. A team that decides the meaning of a story too early produces a thin one.
Evidence
Practice evidence with clinical fanaticism.
Every substantive claim must be traceable, contextualized, and checked. Separate observable fact from interpretation. Triangulate wherever possible. If the evidence is incomplete, say so, research further, or don’t make the claim. The work is only as credible as its sources and the discipline with which they are handled.
Assumptions
Zero tolerance for the unexamined.
A hunch can start a research question; it can never be the conclusion. Keep asking why and how until the reasoning is sound, the evidence holds, and competing explanations have been weighed. The most expensive editorial mistakes aren’t factual errors — they are conclusions never tested against the alternatives.
The reader’s need comes first. Always.
We do not create self-promotional features, advertorials dressed as thought leadership, or pieces whose real purpose is to portray the client as the hero.
A client or its product may be mentioned when it is genuinely relevant, factually supportable, and proportionate — never as the price of the story. That line separates editorial work from promotion, and the credibility of everything we produce depends on it.
Eight tests. Every piece. No exceptions.
Before any externally intended idea or asset is shown to a client or audience, it is reviewed internally against every test below. Check them off to see how the gate works.
A piece that fails any single test does not ship. It is improved — or it is killed.
The structural guarantee that quality stays ahead of output.
No more than four pieces per client, per calendar year. Every slot must be earned. If an idea isn’t strong enough, it doesn’t run simply because a slot is available.
Make work the audience would value even without a sales message attached.
